Team Policies Attendance:
It is our hope that all swimmers will come to every practice
and be available for every meet - then reality sets in!!!
Of course families take vacations during the summer. As
your child advances on the team, you will find that you'll
be scheduling your get-aways for August, when the season
is over. But in the meantime, it's not the end of the
world if you are going away during the season. Remember,
however, that your coaches and teammates are counting
on you to come to practice and meets if you are in town.
Be sure to communicate VERY CLEARLY with the coaches if
you are going to be absent on a meet day.
All swimmers EXCEPT FOR PRE-TEAM should complete an absences report and turn it in to one of the 3 coaches by the end of the first week of practice.

Weather Concerns: Safety
of our families is of the utmost importance. In case of
inclement weather, it is the job of the pool operator
to determine the safety of entering the water. Generally
speaking, if thunder is heard or lightening is spotted,
there is a mandatory delay of 30 minutes in pool activities
and all in attendance must seek cover. Meet officials
and Team Representatives will determine whether a meet
is to be called off due to bad weather.
Insurance:
The King Farm Swim Team does not insure any swimmers
or KFST parents; therefore it is mandatory that swimmers
and parents/guardians be self-insured, conduct themselves
in a sportsmanlike manner, and follow the directions
of the coaches and King Farm lifeguards. The KFST is
not responsible for the conduct and behavior of swimmers
and parents/guardians. Swimmers may be suspended or
expelled from the team at the discretion of a majority
of the Board.

Inclusion: All swimmers
of any race, color, national origin, religion, disability,
sex, and familial status are welcome and encouraged
to swim with the Screamin' Geese. Reasonable accommodations
will be offered to swimmers with disabilities consistent
with the policies of the MCSL.
Pictures:
Each year we sit for a "group" picture and swimmers
may also pose for individual pictures (or family groupings)
on the same picture day. Date & time of the picture
day will be announced at a later time, as will the cost
of the pictures. Parents are free to take personal pictures
throughout the season and we welcome your contributions
of digital pictures for use in our year-end banquet
slide show. E-mail your pictures to photos@kingfarmswimteam.com
or give them to any Board member during the course of
the season.

Conduct: It is the
expectation that all swimmers and their families will
represent our team responsibly both in our community
and when interacting with other teams. Interaction with
other patrons and the staff of our neighborhood pool
should be polite at all times - we do not own the pool
- we SHARE it with our neighbors. Shower facilities
are available at our pool, but swimmers are asked to
conserve water and limit shower time to 10 minutes.
Illegal consumption of alcohol or drugs is not tolerated
by the Board or Coaching staff and is cause for dismissal
from membership.
Volunteering:
Each family is expected to volunteer in some capacity
at a minimum of 3 meets. It is understood that not everyone
has the flexibility in their schedules or family situations
to attend every team function or meet. However, we expect
every parent or guardian to make an effort to be a part
of the volunteer effort that makes this team run. our
kids train hard, swim when it's freezing cold, and wake
up at 7:00 a.m. just to improve their skills - they
deserve our attention! And remember - a meet goes by
much faster if you're working, rather than sitting around
waiting for the 30 seconds that your child will be in
the pool!
